About Rayong

Historically, Rayong has been a fishing and trading town, and today it remains an important port for the region's agriculture and industry. The province produces a significant share of Thailand's tropical fruit, including durian, mangosteen, and rambutan. Visitors come for the beaches, seafood, and the relaxed atmosphere of the mainland coast and islands.

The city of Rayong offers markets, temples, and a range of accommodation, while the coastal areas and islands provide resorts and quieter spots. Whether you are passing through on the way to Ko Samet or spending time exploring the mainland, Rayong provides a glimpse of eastern Thailand beyond the main tourist trail.
