Getting there and around
Phi Phi Don has no airport. Most visitors arrive by ferry from Phuket or Krabi, with services from both provinces. From Krabi, ferries depart from Klong Jilad Pier and take about 1.5 to 2 hours. From Phuket, ferries leave from Rassada Pier and take around 2 hours. Speedboat services are also available. Once on the island there are no cars or motorbikes: getting around is done on foot or by bicycle, paths connect the main areas, and longtail boats can be hired for trips to nearby beaches and islands.
When to go
The dry season, from November to April, brings sunny weather and calm seas, ideal for swimming, snorkelling and diving. December to February are the peak months and the busiest.
