About Prachuap Khiri Khan

The town centre clusters around the railway station and the small harbour, with markets, shophouses and municipal offices. To the south, Ao Manao is a bay within a Royal Thai Air Force base, known for its calm water and views of the surrounding hills. North of the centre, the coast runs past fishing villages and beaches such as Ao Noi and Ao Khan Kradai. Khao Chong Krachok, a hill with a temple and a stairway guarded by macaques, overlooks the town and the bay. The province also includes the narrowest part of Thailand at Klong Bon, near the Myanmar border.
